Who is Laapha?

Laapha is rooted in Kathmandu and has branched out and currently operates in Australia. We design and create products that are fashionable and sustainable all while maintaining the highest standards in quality. At Laapha, 'We care what you wear".

What do we do?

 

Our label was born to address and raise awareness about the unsustainable and unrenewable practices of the clothing industry. We emerged into the need of making sustainable options as the mainstream in the market, not an alternative. We aim towards redefining clothing quality and durability, while bringing hemp and other sustainable natural fibres into the use for people of both present and future generation. 

We make chic clothes from Hemp, an Eco-friendly & sustainable plant that is used to create some of the world’s finest products. At Laapha, we design & make apparels and accessories for men's wear, women's wear and an extended 100% handmade collection designed for consumers that believe the need of sustainability in fashion, with versatility and function at the forefront. 

Who makes your clothes?

   

At Laapha, 'We Care What You Wear'. Laapha is a vertically integrated company, our designs  are creatively and carefully crafted by highly skilled local artisans in Nepal. Our designs are created by our designer currently allocated in Australia. Those designs are sent to our studio in Sanepa, Nepal electronically where our group of people in product manufacturing department creates the samples and final products through the guidance from one of co-ordinator who is incharge of looking after the production phase from start to finishing in Nepal. We are committed towards producing quality over quantity, working with high quality natural fibres especially, hemp to create long lasting pieces which never go out of style. 

Hemp.. what is it?

                                 

Hemp, the THC-less cousin to Cannabis, is known to be a farmer's best friend. One of the most versatile crops on earth, Hemp can be processed into fabric, bio fuel, seeds, edible oil, bricks and over 10,000 different products. Clothes made from Hemp offer a distinct advantage in comfort, style and durability and have many other significant benefits for the environment and the economy.

We, Laapha aim to grow our range with a refined, minimalist but stylish approach, creating product pieces which prove that hemp deserves to be in all wardrobes.
